LIGHTNING MAY HAVE CAUSED FIRE AT BRENHAM HOME

  

The Brenham Fire Department says lightning may have caused a small fire Monday afternoon.

Just before 6:00 p.m., firefighters were called to the 1900 block of Rosenbaum Drive near East Stone Street in Brenham.

At the scene, they found a fire behind the kitchen stove.  The department quickly extinguished the fire and removed the smoke from the kitchen.

The damage was limited to the wall behind the stove and the cabinets above.

There was moderate smoke damage throughout the house.
