BLUEBONNET OPRY RETURNS THURSDAY WITH HOUSE BAND
Silver Wings Ballroom in Brenham will host the first Bluebonnet Opry performance in nearly a year tonight (Thursday).
Tonight’s show will feature the Bluebonnet Opry House Band, consisting of Harris Kubos, Sr., fiddle player and leader of the band; Gary Brock, bass player; Craig Schmidt, steel guitar; Wayne Turner, lead guitar; Doug Boggs, drummer; and John Dujka, keyboard.
This is the Opry’s first performance since June 2020.
Kubos says the band is excited to be back on stage, and believes guests will have a lot to enjoy at this performance.

Doors open to Silver Wings Ballroom at 5:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7, and proceeds benefit Hospice Brazos Valley.
The snack bar will be open, serving food and drinks. Chairs will be spaced out to allow for social distancing, but masks are not required.
The Opry’s bi-annual polka show is scheduled for June.
