ROUND TOP-CARMINE ESSAY WINNER ANNOUNCED
A graduating senior at Round Top-Carmine High School has been named the winner of the 2021 American Legion Quade-Werchan Post #338 Essay Contest.

Class of ’21 salutatorian, Corina Blazek, daughter of Anthony and Graciela Blazek, was presented her certificate and a check for $500 from the post at the high school awards ceremony held last week.
The 2021 American Legion Oratory Contest was not held this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Post #338 was determined to provide students at Round Top-Carmine High School the opportunity to participate in some form of competition and to obtain scholarship funds.
The post, working with high school counselor Debra Foster, held a written essay contest using the same topics of the U.S. Constitution selected for the 2021 Oratory Contest.
