FATAL SHOOTING UNDER INVESTIGATION IN WALLER CO.

  

Investigation into a fatal weekend shooting is underway in Waller County.

According to a release from the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and EMS personnel responded at around 8 p.m. Sunday to a reported shooting in northern Waller County.

Authorities arrived to find a young male had been shot and was dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident, and says no criminal charges have been filed.  It says because the investigation remains open and active, it is not releasing any identifying information or affiliations at this time.

The release provided by the Sheriff’s Office did not provide a more specific location as to where the shooting occurred, or any of the circumstances surrounding the incident.  KWHI has asked the Sheriff’s Office for additional information.
