A La Grange country club suffered thousands of dollars’ worth of damage after representatives say vehicles drove across the golf course.

Elizabeth Placke-Drosche, general manager at the Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club, says two vehicles drove through the green on hole 4 and the fairway on hole 5 overnight Monday.  She says there were also two street signs and a mailbox on Country Club Drive that were ran over, and a tree on a separate property was also hit.

Placke-Drosche believes the damage occurred between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 4 a.m. Tuesday.  She also believes two different vehicles were involved because there appear to be two types of tire tracks on the course, one being all-terrain tires and the other being mud-grip tires.  She estimates the cost to repair the damages will be between $5,000 and $10,000.

Placke-Drosche says she has filed a report with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, and encourages anyone with information to call the Sheriff’s Office at 979-968-5856.
