MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM CAN BE HEARD ON KWHI

  

 

Fayette County Judge Joe Weber is the featured speaker for today’s (Monday) local Memorial Day program.

The Washington County Veterans Association (WCVA) will not host an in-person program, but KWHI will air Memorial Day programming beginning at 10:45 a.m.

Weber served 36 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps (USMC).  Over the course of his military career, he served in assignments throughout the United States and overseas, commanding at all levels and serving in a variety of senior staff positions.  He retired from the USMC in 2008 at the rank of Lieutenant General.

In addition to Weber’s keynote speech, the program will also feature patriotic music and messages from local officials.

The program will be broadcast beginning at 10:45 on KWHI AM 1280, FM 101.7, and kwhi.com.

The WCVA hosting a drive-thru only, barbecue beef and pork sausage lunch at the American Legion Hall.  Tickets were available in advance only.  All proceeds will go to veterans groups in Washington County.
