TLU BULLDOGS ADVANCE TO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs continue defense of their 2019 NCAA National DIII Softball Championship in Salem, VA.

The Bulldogs (35-4) will face #2-seeded Virginia Wesleyan in a best two-of-three for the title.

TLU downed Birmingham-Southern, 9-1 in Sunday’s semi-final.

Brenham-native Kelly Jurden was 1-for-3 with a run scored in the victory.

The finals series begins Monday with the first championship game, set for a 2 p.m. central start.  The second championship game and the "if necessary" third game are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Tuesday.

  1. Good luck to the TLU Bulldogs. Many Brenham connections on the team. Former Brenham High school coach Wade Wilson is TLU’s head coach with Olivia VanHook an assistant for him. Olivia was a stand out player for the Brenham High school softball team while in high school.
Of course, former Brenham native, Kelly Jurden is making a huge impact for TLU.
