GRIMES CO. FAIR KICKS OFF THIS WEEK IN NAVASOTA
The 69th Annual Grimes County Fair gets underway this week in Navasota.
Check-in for livestock events begins today (Wednesday) at the Grimes County Fairgrounds, while livestock judging begins Monday. Judging for creative arts opens Saturday and continues Monday.
Saturday will feature a performance from Doc West at 7 p.m. The Grimes County Fair Queen will be crowned at 8 p.m., and Aaron Watson will take the stage at 9 p.m. General admission for the dance is $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. Limited VIP tickets are available for $100.
The Buyer’s Social and Supper will take place Thursday, June 10th at 5:30 p.m., along with the presentation of awards and scholarships. The premium sale will follow at 6:30 p.m., and the freezer sale will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 11th.
The fair will round out on Saturday, June 12th with a dance with Jason James at 9 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.
Other activities at this year’s fair will include the ranch rodeo, kid’s rodeo, mutton bustin’ and bull buck-out.
