The Brenham Airport Advisory Board will meet Tuesday to consider a request to extend the taxiway at the Brenham Municipal Airport.

Brent Nedbalek of Aviators Plus is requesting approval to build a 65’ by 175’ extension of the existing taxiway next to the hangar at 2805 Aviation Way.  The city says the extension will connect to the taxiway in front of 2901 and 2903 Aviation Way to provide better access to Aviators Plus customers.

The board was informed at its meeting in September 2019 that Nedbalek had offered to pay to have an additional 25’ by 50’ ramp space built on the south end of the airport as an extension of the existing ramp.  While the board was in favor of the proposal, it has not taken any formal action since.

The proposed extension would be designed, built and privately funded by Aviators Plus.

If the request is approved, it will go before the Brenham City Council for final approval.

Also on Tuesday, the board will hold a workshop to discuss board goals and continue work on establishing a mission statement for the board and the airport.

The board will meet Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in conference room 2-A at Brenham City Hall.
