BRENHAM PLANNING & ZONING TO TAKE UP ITEM FOR AMENDING BUFFERYARD, LANDSCAPING STANDARDS

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission will meet on Monday to revisit an item regarding proposed amendments to city code.

The amendments would adjust the minimum site area for multi-family development per dwelling unit, change landscaping and buffering standards, and define additional landscaping requirements between dissimilar uses.

Action on the proposed amendments was tabled from the commission’s meeting in September and appears to be on track to be tabled again, as the meeting agenda packet indicates that city staff members continue to research bufferyard and landscape regulations.  They are asking to bring back the item for consideration once their research is complete.

The commission will meet Monday at noon at Brenham City Hall.
