COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS NEW BUS FOR SHERIFF’S OFFICE

  

 

A new bus for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Washington County Commissioners Court.

The commissioners are expected to vote on the new transport bus, which is capable of holding 25 passengers.

Commissioners are also expected to authorize County Judge John Durrenberger to requesting termination of an agreement with Corrosion Resistant Alloys, L.P., Patchell Holdings Inc. for the county to provide $675,000 of grant funds for improvements to the Brenham Natural Gas System through the Texas Capital Fund Program.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners are expected to:

Approve a proclamation declaring July 7th as Volunteer Firefighters’ Day in Washington County.

Approval of a guaranteed maximum price amendment for the renovation work for the Washington County Expo by Chappell Hill Construction Company.

Consideration of a compensation pay increase for Washington County employees.

The court will also receive a certificate of achievement from the Government Finance Officers Association for excellence in financial reporting for its comprehensive annual financial report for the 2019 fiscal year.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
