WALLER CO. SHERIFF’S DEPUTY ARRESTED/CHARGED WITH FELONY

(Ft. Bend Co. Jail)

A former Waller County Sheriff’s Deputy investigator is facing a felony charge, following his arrest early Friday morning.

Brian Dasher’s arrest comes after an investigation by the Texas Rangers into charges of Misuse of Official Information.

In the early hours Friday, Dasher was arrested and booked into the Fort Bend County Jail, which is the county where the crime was allegedly committed.

Authorities said he misused official information for personal reasons.

Dasher, a six-year veteran of the Waller Co. Sheriff’s Office, was once named as Investigator of the Year by the Waller County District Attorney’s Office.

Waller County Sheriff Troy Guidry says he was terminated from his post around 1 a.m. Friday, just before his arrest.

Dasher was booked into the Fort Bend County Detention Center before posting bail later Friday. His bond was set at $10,000.

No one is releasing specific details on the case, but the D.A.'s office said more details on Dasher's case should be available next week.
