SEARCH CONTINUES AT LAKE TRAVIS FOR MISSING NAVASOTA MAN
Authorities continue their search at Lake Travis for a Navasota man, missing since the Fourth of July weekend
According to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, the missing swimmer has been identified by his family as 28-year-old Lonnie Gray of Navasota, last seen in the Hatter Cove area of the lake, just before 5:00 p.m., July 3rd.
Authorities say Gray was last seen swimming in an area of Lake Travis that is 85-to-130 feet deep. The area is several football fields in length with groves of trees at the bottom, which are hazardous for sonar and divers.
Search efforts have been continuous throughout the week.
Gray is one of three swimmers reported missing on Lake Travis within the last 10 years who have not been recovered.
