WASHINGTON CO. AGRILIFE TO HOST COOKING SERIES IN AUGUST

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office in Washington County will host a cooking series next month in Burton.

“Cooking Thyme” will be presented on Tuesdays in August from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ.

Washington County Extension Agent Hannah Krebs and educators will demonstrate and prepare menu ideas featuring canning, freezing, reducing sodium and healthy substitutions.

In addition to cooking demonstrations, attendees will participate in hands-on cooking activities they can implement in their kitchens at home.

The series cost is $50, or $15 per session.  To register, call the Washington County Extension Office at 979-277-6212, or email hannah.krebs@ag.tamu.edu or nburch@ag.tamu.edu.

The deadline to register is July 29th, and the series is limited to the first 15 participants.
