BBA ARCHITECTS ANNOUNCES STAFF ACHIEVEMENT

  

The office of BBA Architects, L.P. is proud to announce that another of its employees has passed the registration exam and is now a licensed architect. Jhonatan Aguirre, AIA has been employed by the firm since July 2015. He is experienced in building information modeling and virtual reality visualization and collaborates with the owners and project designers in all disciplines, including structural, mechanical, and AVL.  He has recently been involved in a number of project types and sizes ranging from custom residential projects to multi-million dollar new commercial construction and remodeling. Currently Jhonatan is managing an expansion of the Kent Moore Cabinets shop in Bryan, BT Church Student Center in McAllen, and several custom residential projects.

Mr. Aguirre received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Science in 2015 and his Master of Architecture degree in 2016 from Prairie View A&M University. He joins Darren Heine, AIA and Yvonne Brast, AIA who are registered architects at the firm. Darren Heine who serves as the principal of the firm, stated, “For every architecture graduate, obtaining a license to practice is a significant personal achievement that comes after years of study, internship, and passing a rigorous six-part licensing exam.  We are very proud of Jhonatan and his achievement.” There are over 116,000 licensed architects in the United States with over 13,000 licensed practitioners in the state of Texas.

Jhonatan is married to Karina Aguirre and has a daughter, Alice, and son, Ian. They reside in Cypress.

The office of BBA Architects is comprised of a five-member staff of professional and support personnel.  BBA has leveraged remote working technology for over 15 years and continues to do so allowing employees to work jointly in real time with their colleagues in the Brenham office from Austin, Houston and the Hill Country areas of Texas. Recently completed projects of the firm include a new employee service center for Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative in Maxwell, expansion of the Daniel|Stark Law Offices in Waco, as well as church facilities for Church Unlimited in San Antonio and Rockport. Current projects are underway for Entergy in Willis, Kent Moore Cabinets in Bryan, BT Church in McAllen, Northpoint Church in Leander, rehabilitation of an historic building in downtown Brenham, as well as several custom residential projects in the Brenham area.  Story and photo courtesy of BBA Architects.
