HOT NIGHTS, COOL TUNES TO CLOSE OUT WITH MUSIC OF JOURNEY
Update @ 3 p.m.: The Journey tribute band, Escape, has had to cancel its performance at Hot Nights, Cool Tunes in downtown Brenham tomorrow (Saturday) night. The Spicolis, a variety band out of Houston playing songs from the MTV generation super groups, will perform in their place. Read more here.
Original Story @ 9:55 a.m.: The music of an iconic American rock band will fill downtown Brenham this weekend for the summer’s final “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concert.
Escape, a tribute group out of Houston, will take crowds tomorrow (Saturday) night through the years of Journey, playing hits such as “Separate Ways”, “Faithfully” and “Don’t Stop Believin’”. The free concert will begin at 7 p.m. on the courthouse square.
City of Brenham Community Services Specialist Crystal Locke says this performance caps off what has been a great year for the annual concert series.
The concert will also feature the Stray Katz Car Club’s classic car cruise-in at the west end of Alamo Street, along with food and drinks from local businesses and vendors.
The performance is sponsored by Brannon Industrial Group, Strand Associates, Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union and Baylor Scott & White.
KWHI’s Craig Montana will be the host for the evening.
