BRAZOS CO. JURY CONVICTS ELDERLY MAN OF SEXUAL CONTACT WITH 6-YEAR OLD

A Brazos County jury took just over an hour to convict a Ft. Worth man of sexual contact with a six-year-old girl in College Station seven years ago.
The victim, who is now 13, was among those testifying at the trial of 77-year-old James Bowen of Granbury.
Bowen and the district attorney’s office then came to an agreement about punishment. Bowen, who has significant health issues, was given the minimum prison term of two years.
Bowen will also be required to register as a sex offender and he has no right to appeal the conviction or punishment.

This is absolutely insane! His health issues should not even come into consideration for what he has done!
Better keep him in there longer for his own safety
One has to wonder if the DA would have signed off on this if this creep was a neighbor. Two years for traumatizing a child? Way to tell a kid they are worthless.
