BRENHAM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO CONSIDER LOT WIDTH VARIANCE

One lone item is up for consideration by the Brenham Board of Adjustment at its meeting Monday.

The board will hold a public hearing for a request from Michael and Lana Jo Branton to allow a 45-foot lot width where a minimum 60-foot lot width is required.

The variance is for a single-family home to be built on 8.25 acres of land on the north end of the Scenic Estates subdivision, and would allow the property owners to put in an asphalt driveway.

City staff recommends approval of the variance.

The board will meet Monday evening at 5:15 p.m. at Brenham City Hall.

  1. This is why I live in the county. It is ridiculous to have to get city planner permission to have a asphalt driveway. Did the new shopping get approval for assphalt by the committee? Obviously, burocracy in Brenham government is growing.
