ONE KILLED IN WEEKEND ACCIDENT NEAR CALDWELL
A College Station man was killed this weekend in a one-vehicle accident near Caldwell.
DPS reports the accident occurred Saturday night at around 7:30 p.m., just over a mile south of Caldwell on Highway 36.
According to DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz, a 2002 Ford F-250 was driving southbound at a high rate of speed when it went off the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver of the Ford, 35-year-old Joe Tennell, was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS continues to investigate the crash.
