WASHINGTON COUNTY FAIR QUEEN CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED

Four young ladies were announced Monday evening at the Washington County Fair Grounds as candidates for the 2021-2022 Fair Queen.  No Fair Queen was crowed in 2020-2021 because of COVID, but the 2019-2020 Fair Queen, Neeleigh Wellmann, was on hand to share a few words of encouragement.

Trinity Hart

Trinity Hart will be representing the Brenham FFA as she competes for the Fair Queen.  She is a senior at Brenham High School and is the daughter of John and Janie Hart.  She has shown at the Washington County Fair since she was 8 years old, has been a cheerleader since the 7th grade, and is currently a cheerleader at Brenham High School.

Keely Mikolajchak

 

Keely Mikolajchak is representing Washington County 4-H in her run as a queen candidate.  She is the daughter of Kelvin and Crystal Mikolajchak.  She has exhibited beef cattle at the Washington County Fair for the past 9 years.  She is a senior at Brenham High School where she serves as President of the FFA.  She is also a Washington County Heritage Belle.

Emma Marth

 

Emma Marth is also representing Washington County 4-H as a queen candidate.  She is the daughter of Brandon and Kristie Marth.  Emma is a junior at Brenham High School where she is involved with the Anchor Club, the Junior National Honor Society, and PALS.  She has participated in the Washington County Fair in various events including Country Creations Exhibitor, Youth Rodeo participant, and Commercial Pen Heifer exhibitor.

Jolie Standley

 

Jolie Standley is representing the Burton FFA in her run for the honor of Washington County Fair Queen.  She is the daughter of Kimberlea Ward and Morris and Michelle Standley.  Jolie is a senior this year at Burton High School where she is a cheerleader.  She has been involved with the Burton FFA for the past 3 years and has also shown pigs at the Washington County Fair during that time.

 

Each of the girls will be competing for the honor of becoming this year’s Washington County Fair Queen.  The queen is selected by a combination of how well they do on a written and in person questions, and their sale of season passes to the Fair. The queen crowning will occur during the opening ceremonies of the fair on Wednesday, September 15th.  For more information about the Fair, visit washingtoncofair.com .
