The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named “Harley” and “Cricket” as its Pets of the Week.

Harley and Cricket are a pair of spayed Jack Russell Terriers who came to the shelter after their owner died.

Harley is 8 years old and had surgery to remove mammary tumors and be spayed.  Brenham Animal Services says she has fully recovered and is tumor-free.  Cricket is the 2-year-old younger sister.

Staff members say the two are very sweet and have a strong bond, so they will be adopted together.  Their ideal home would be one where they can be primarily indoor dogs, like they are used to.

Potential pet adopters or fosters can go online to www.petfinder.com to see the shelter’s available pets.  Appointments can be made by calling 979-337-7351, or by visiting the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page.  The shelter is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
