TWO CHARGED IN FAYETTE COUNTY AUTO BURGLARIES

  

 

Two men have been arrested in Giddings, charged with two motor vehicle burglaries in Carmine.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek says deputies responded Tuesday morning to a residential address off of US Hwy 290 in the Carmine area for a burglary of a motor vehicle.

At the scene, deputies found that two vehicles had been burglarized. Taken from the vehicles were tools, firearms, knives, and a computer.

A short time later, two male suspects were located in Giddings and taken into custody on separated burglary of a vehicle charges and found to be in possession of stolen property from Fayette County and Lee County burglaries.

Currently the suspects’ names have not been released and the investigation continues.
