INFORMATIONAL MEETING AUGUST 30 ON BURTON ISD BOND MEASURE
The public is invited next Monday to an informational meeting to discuss the Burton ISD bond election set for this fall.
The meeting will be held on Monday, August 30th at 6 p.m. in the Burton High School auditorium.
Attendees will be able to take a tour of existing Burton ISD facilities, view a presentation of the proposed upgrades included in the bond, and take part in a question and answer session with the construction manager, architect and financial consultant involved with the bond.
The $43.8 million bond called for by the Burton School Board earlier this month will include various academic and athletic projects such as adding and renovating classrooms, renovating fine arts facilities, upgrading the cafeteria and kitchen, creating an enclosed connection for district buildings, adding a new competition gym and stadium, and performing various site and drainage improvements.
The meeting is being hosted by the political action committee, BONDing Together For Kids.
