REGISTRATION OPEN FOR DOWNTOWN BRENHAM CHRISTMAS PARADE
September has just arrived, but the City of Brenham is getting ready for the return of the annual lighted Christmas parade in downtown Brenham.
Businesses and organizations can now register float entries for the parade, set for Saturday, December 4th at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”
Last year’s parade was cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns, but Santa Claus did come through several Brenham neighborhoods to wave to families atop a fire truck in mid-December.
The parade route will begin at the intersection of Main Street and Market Street, traveling west towards Austin Street. It will then make a U-turn at West Main Street and North Austin Street, traveling east on Alamo Street and ending at Market Street.
Judging categories are Best Overall, Best Parade Theme, Most Original, Best Lights and Best Spirit of the Season.
Parade entries are due by Tuesday, November 23rd. There is no registration fee to enter.
