BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON WARRANTS FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, INJURY TO A CHILD

A Brenham man wanted on several felony warrants was arrested Wednesday by Brenham and Blinn police.
Just before noon, the Brenham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit and a Blinn police officer located 19-year-old Luis Avalos at a home on William B. Travis Lane between Brenham and Chappell Hill.
Brenham police said Avalos held active felony indictment warrants out of Washington County District Court for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Injury to a Child.
Avalos was taken into custody and booked in at the Washington County Jail, where he was released to jail staff without incident.
