CALDWELL KOLACHE FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES BEGIN FRIDAY
Activities for the 36th Annual Kolache Festival get underway today (Friday) in Caldwell.
The official festival opens tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 a.m. at the Polka Pavilion in downtown, but Burleson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Susan Mott says the fun begins today with an all-day quilt show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Caldwell Civic Center and a pre-festival dinner from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Burleson County Expo Center.
Tomorrow’s festivities will include the famous kolache baking and eating contests, the Kolache Krunch 5K, displays from the Creative Memories Quilt Guild, and classic car and antique machinery shows.
Hundreds of vendors will be selling their goods and wares, and live music will be provided by the Czechaholics, the Moravians and the Dujka Brothers. There will also be a performance from the Beseda Dancers.

KTEX-106 is a proud sponsor of the Kolache Festival, and will be sending out Marshall Garrett to the festival tomorrow morning, broadcasting live from the KTEX Country Cruiser.
