As the Washington County Fair comes to a close, the Burleson County Fair is just getting started.

The fair gets underway this (Saturday) morning with the parade through downtown Caldwell at 10 a.m., and continues tomorrow (Sunday) with the Little Miss Contest at 6 p.m. and the Fair Queen Contest at 7 p.m.  The baked foods auction will take place in between the two contests.

This year’s fair queen candidates are Jalee Baumann, Morgan Becka, Grace Fritcher and Macy Narro.

Livestock judging begins on Tuesday and continues through Friday, leading up to the Commercial Heifer Sale on Friday at 6 p.m. and the Youth Livestock Auction on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Fairgoers can also look forward to Wagner’s Carnival, creative living exhibits, a pet show, a gospel concert on Thursday, the Crossroads Band on Friday, and the Texas Unlimited Band and Randy Rogers on Saturday.

Tickets are available from queen contestants through today, and can be purchased at the SPJST gate starting tomorrow.
