Rocket League team falls to Texas A&M University-San Antonio

Blinn College’s Overwatch esports team stormed back from an early deficit Monday night to defeat the University of Mississippi 3-2.
The win puts Blinn Overwatch at 3-1 on the season and tied for second place in its division.
The starting lineup was Gabriel Lopez, William Bowman, Hayden Evans, Pierce Ray, George Francis, and William Rossley. Ahmed Khalil was used as a substitute and helped in the team’s comeback win, said Kyle Murto, assistant esports coach.
Blinn’s Rocket League team lost 3-1 Monday to Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
Team members for Blinn were John Warden, Diego Monacelli, Tanner James, and Ezekiel Sedgwick.
Blinn’s esports program is a member of the National Association of College Esports, competing against two-year colleges and four-year universities. Blinn is one of the few community colleges in the region that offer esports scholarships.
