‘DRIVE IT HOME FORE THE KIDS’ FRIDAY AT BRENHAM COUNTRY CLUB

Update @ 10 a.m. Friday: The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County has cancelled the "Drive it Home Fore the Kids" Charity Golf Tournament due to weather.

Original Story @ 3:30 p.m. Thursday: The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County is set to tee off tomorrow (Friday) at the Brenham Country Club for its 12th Annual “Drive it Home Fore the Kids” Charity Golf Tournament.

Presented by Brannon Industrial Group, the golf fundraiser begins with check-in and lunch at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon.  The tournament is the primary fundraising event for the Boys and Girls Club.

Awards will be presented to the first, second and third place teams, along with the players with the longest drive on the ninth hole and closest to the pin on the 14th hole.  There will also be a golf ball cannon shot; anyone who gets a hole in one using the golf ball cannon will split a $10,000 prize with the Boys and Girls Club.

Team registration has concluded for the event.  However, anyone who wishes to donate can do so at www.bgc-brenham.org/golf.

KTEX-106’s Marshall Garrett will be at the tournament tomorrow morning, broadcasting live from the friendly country cruiser.
