COMMUNITIES COME TOGETHER FOR NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

Area law enforcement and first responders visited with the community Tuesday night during Texas’ National Night Out.
Gatherings were held across Brenham and Washington County and in area cities and counties, hosting police officers and sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, EMS and emergency dispatchers.
This year’s theme for National Night Out was “Party U.S.A.”, and plenty of partygoers were dressed up in red, white and blue for the celebration.
KWHI and KTEX-106 traveled to parties throughout the evening in and around Brenham, Caldwell, Giddings, Millheim and Somerville.
National Night Out was created in 1984 as a crime prevention program to help build and strengthen relationships between local communities and authorities.
