The Hempstead Police Department is looking for the suspect responsible for shooting two people Wednesday night.

Police say they responded around 8 p.m. to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Donoho Street, where they found a 45-year-old woman lying in the grass next to the roadway, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Authorities were then called to the 1800 block of 3rd Street and found a 16-year-old girl who had also been shot.

Both victims were airlifted to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.  Police say they are waiting for information regarding their current condition.
