The first of eight themed weekends begins tomorrow (Saturday) at the festival grounds in Todd Mission, running through November 28th.  The nation’s largest Renaissance event annually brings over 500,000 people to experience 16th century food, shopping and entertainment.

New to the festival this season is “Del Lago”, an area near the jousting arena that features new shops and food vendors.  There will also be Texas wine tasting at Odin’s Table; royal scotch, bourbon and rum tastings; and new escape rooms with unique themes.

Other activities will include a fire whip show, full steel combat, falconry and music, comedy and magic performances.

As of this week, masks and vaccines are not required by visitors for entry into the festival.  Vendors and staff will be fully vaccinated or provide weekly proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

Tickets are available at the gate or online at www.texrenfest.com.
