BLINN WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM DOWNS TRINITY VALLEY, 6-0

Olivia Bibbins has two goals, assist in Bucs’ win Saturday at Rankin Field

The Blinn College women’s soccer team dominated offensively and defensively in a 6-0 win Saturday over Trinity Valley at Rankin Field in Brenham.
The Buccaneers scored two goals in the first half and four more in the second half, playing most of the game on Trinity Valley’s side of the field. Blinn had 26 shots in the game – 10 in the first half and 16 in the second.
Olivia Bibbins had two goals and an assist for Blinn. Bibbins got the Buccaneers on the scoreboard with a goal in the 34th minute, then added an assist on Haley Courville’s goal a minute later.

Haley Courville shows patience against the Trinity Valley goalkeeper before scoring in Blinn’s 6-0 win Saturday.

“Olivia Bibbins had a brilliant day,” assistant coach Alexandria Jackson said. “She has so much potential, and it’s great to see her get better every game.”
Bibbins scored again a minute into the second half, followed by goals from Morgan Zachos, Rosie Young, and Elyzabeth Kuykendall.
Lexington Kneedler had three assists for Blinn, which improved to 5-5-1 on the season and 4-5-1 in conference. The Buccaneers are 4-1 at home this season.
“We have put on great defensive performances this year, only allowing seven goals all season,” Jackson said. “It was great to see our attacking players get on the score sheet today. To get numerous names on the score sheet shows we can get goals from anyone.”
Blinn travels to Jacksonville College on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. conference game.
