BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO SIX CALLS

The Brenham Fire Department responded to six calls during the day on Thursday, and one early this (Friday) morning.

The first call came in just after 10am on Thursday. Firefighters were dispatched to the 3600 Block of Highway 36 North. It turned out to be an alarm malfunction, so they reset it, and returned to service.

The next call was for a traffic crash just after 11am in the 2800 Block of Highway 36 South. Firefighters helped with traffic control while the vehicles were removed from the scene.

Just before 6:30pm, Brenham FD personnel were dispatched to a crash on North Berlin Road at Highway 290 West. Once again, firefighters helped with traffic control until the vehicles were removed from the scene.

Shortly after 8:30pm, BFD units were summoned to a fire investigation in the 1800 Block of Stephanie Street. Firefighters discovered the residents burning in the backyard, and advised them about the City of Brenham code.

Firefighters were then sent to a fire alarm at 11:30pm in the 1100 Block of South Blue Bell Road. The call turned out to be for another alarm malfunction.

The final call came in this (Friday) morning around 4:15am. BFD found that alarm to also have a malfunction, so they reset it, and returned to service.
