FAYETTEVILLE LICKSKILLET DAYS THIS WEEKEND

The Lickskillet Days return this weekend to downtown Fayetteville.

The 44th annual celebration kicks off tomorrow (Saturday) night at 6 p.m. with burgers and beer, followed by a street dance from 7 to 9 p.m. with Southbound 955.

Sunday’s festivities begin at 9 a.m. with vendors and pastries on the Fayetteville square.  The Annual Lickskillet Parade will come by the square at 10:30 a.m.  After the parade, a barbecue feast will be served at 11 a.m., catered by Peters BBQ.  Meal tickets are $12, and can be purchased in advance at Fayetteville Bank, Orsak’s, Joe’s Place, and The Wine Bar.

There will also be a country store, live and silent auctions, kids activities, music from the Fayette Czech Singers and Dancers, and the Skillet Licking Contest.

The event is hosted by the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce.
