THREE SENTENCED IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT
Three people were sentenced this week in 21st District Court in Washington County.
29-year-old Matthew Thomas Zientek of Brenham was sentenced to 10 years’ probation for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath or Circulation, a third degree felony. He was arrested on January 12, 2020 after Brenham police were called out to an assault in the 800 block of Hosea Street.
Zientek was also ordered to pay a $100 fee to a family violence shelter and a $50 crime stoppers fee. In addition, he must also complete Intermediate Sanction Facility programs at a 180 day lockdown facility, perform 250 hours of community service, complete a battering intervention program, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment and maintain no contact with the victim in this case.
40-year-old Kendrick Dewayne Coleman of Brenham was sentenced to 8 months in state jail and ordered to pay a $180 lab fee for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a state jail felony.
23-year-old Dustin Arnold Weiss of Caldwell was sentenced to 6 months in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a state jail felony. He must also pay a $180 lab fee.
