TEDDY BOEHM LEAVING BLINN BOARD
Blinn College Board Member Teddy Boehm has announced her resignation from the Board.
Boehm was appointed in 2013 to fill the unexpired term of her husband, Dr. Henry Boehm. Blinn Board Chairman Jim Kolkhorst told KWHI that Boehm did not give any specific reasons for her decision, but says “she may have just felt like it was time”. Kolkhorst said he had been aware for a while that this was a decision she was considering. He praised her for being a tremendous Board member for many years, as her husband before her.
The Blinn Board will consider appointing a replacement to fill Boehm’s unexpired Precinct 3 Trustee Position when they meet Tuesday night at 5:30 on the Brenham campus.
Other items on the agenda include authorization for the administration to negotiate and execute a guaranteed maximum price and to seek proposals for furniture, fixtures and equipment for the Leroy Dreyer Field upgrades on the Brenham campus. They will consider authorization to proceed with the design and seek proposals for construction services and furniture, fixture and equipment for the E sports renovations at Mill Creek Hall on the Brenham campus. Approval of contracts and purchases exceeding $100,000 for fiscal year 2022 will be considered. And Trustees will hear a presentation of the Environmental Health and Safety Audit Advisory Report and the Fiscal Year 2021 Annual Internal Audit Report related to the districtwide Risk Assessment Effort.
The Blinn Board will meet Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 in the board room of the Campus Administration Building on the Brenham campus.
