BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES RAISING FUNDS FOR LOCAL, AREA NONPROFITS

  

The 3rd Annual Brazos Valley Gives fundraiser is taking place today (Tuesday) for nonprofit organizations across the area.

The fundraiser is underway through 11 p.m. tonight, raising money for nonprofits across the seven-county region of the Brazos Valley.

Over 150 nonprofits are participating in this year’s campaign, including 113 in Brazos County, 22 in Washington County, eight in Burleson County, seven in Grimes County, three in Robertson County and one in Madison County.

Washington County organizations participating in Brazos Valley Gives include:

  • Texas Cotton Gin Museum
  • Unity Theatre
  • Washington-on-the-Brazos Historical Foundation
  • Washington County Healthy Living Association
  • CASA for Kids of South Central Texas
  • Volunteer Services Council – Brenham State Supported Living Center
  • Brenham Children’s Chorus
  • Burton Educational Foundation
  • Brenham NEXT
  • HOPE Gathering, Inc.
  • Boys and Girls Club of Washington County
  • Miracle Farm
  • Brenham Main Street Historical Preservation, Inc.
  • Blinn College Foundation
  • Citadel Christian School
  • Here I Am Orphan Ministries
  • Marine Toys for Tots
  • First Baptist Church School of Brenham
  • Brenham GameChangers
  • Brenham Pet Adoption Center
  • Camp For All

The goal for the fundraiser is $750,000.  Last year, 136 nonprofits received a financial benefit from the $801,462 raised.

The fundraiser is presented by the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley and Tom Light Chevrolet of College Station.
