Homecoming festivities begin for Burton High School tonight (Wednesday) with a parade through Burton.

The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. and will take the traditional Cotton Gin Festival parade route down Main Street.

This year’s Homecoming Queen nominees are Karime Ortiz, Cassidy Fuchs, Allie Hohlt and Briana Torres.

Running for Homecoming King are Jayden Brown, Waylon Hinze, Weston Hinze and Troy Patterson.

Also on the homecoming court are Junior Duchess Brinn Rhodes, Sophomore Duchess Ella Hensley and Freshman Duchess Reagan Roemer.

The queen will be announced at halftime of the Burton Panthers' football game Friday night versus the Granger Lions.  The king will be announced at the homecoming dance on Saturday.
