WEAR PURPLE MONDAY FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Monday, October 25, has been proclaimed as “Go Purple for Domestic Violence Awareness” in Washington County. County Attorney Renee Mueller and District Attorney Julie Renken along with their staff encourage all residents of Washington County to “Go Purple” on Monday by wearing purple clothing in order to bring awareness and show support for survivors and victims of domestic violence in our county. A photo will be taken on the gazebo side of the Washington County Courthouse, facing Alamo Street, at 1:45 in the afternoon on Monday, and all members of the public and county and city employees who are wearing purple in honor of “Go Purple Day” are invited to take part in the photo.
