KIDFISH SATURDAY AT BLUE BELL AQUATIC CENTER
Anglers of all ages are invited to Brenham’s Blue Bell Aquatic Center tomorrow (Saturday) for the 15th Annual KIDFISH.
Fishers can try their hand at reeling in some of the hundreds of pounds of catfish that will be dumped into the aquatic center’s outdoor leisure pool.
The event starts at 8:30 a.m., and fishing begins with catch and release from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by catch and keep from 11 a.m. to noon. Awards will be presented to the top catchers at 12:15 p.m.
Aquatic Supervisor Tammy Jaster says there will be lots of other activities throughout the day.
The event is open to anyone, while the competition portion of the event is for children up to 16 years old. Fishing poles will be provided, but attendees can also bring their own. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will have opportunities to earn badges and belt loops.
