BELLVILLE FFA AG SALES TEAM PLACES SECOND AT NATIONALS

Bellville FFA’s Ag Sales Team is now known as one of the best across the United States.
On Thursday, the team of Talyn Dierking, Samantha Diezi, Cole Helmcamp and Morgan Hesters was named second at the National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis. Hesters and Diezi earned second and eighth place high point individuals in the contest.
The first part of the contest was a virtual team activity and exam with 35 other teams, which took place at the end of August. Bellville advanced out of the initial stage, along with 17 other teams, to the in-person individual event this past week.
Team coach and advisor Christy Tobola said each of the team members are “very driven hardworking individuals” and is “so proud of their dedication and accomplishment.”
Both Bellville and Burton FFA enjoyed great success at nationals, as Burton’s Livestock Judging Team of Chet Fritsch, Waylon Hinze, Weston Hinze and Tanna Thiel placed second in its own competition. Waylon Hinze also finished in the top 12 as an individual.
