BRENHAM H-E-B REMODELING TOPS OCTOBER BUILDING PERMITS

  

Work at the Brenham H-E-B led the month of October for building permits issued by the City of Brenham.

The city issued a $6.8 million permit for remodeling and additions to the existing store at 2508 South Day Street.  Joeris General Contractors is leading construction on the project.

Another notable permit issued in October was for $3,375,000 for remodeling of the Old Main building on Blinn’s campus in Brenham.  Work is being performed by Madison Construction.

Baylor Scott & White Hospital took out a $2.1 million permit for interior remodeling of its emergency department.  That construction is being handled by KDK Group.

A total of 41 permits were issued in October for $17,792,705.  Last October, 33 permits were taken out for $7,212,913.

Twenty new homes were permitted last month for $4,608,602.  So far in 2021, 146 homes have been permitted for $25,324,770.

To date this year, the city has issued 351 permits for $77,372,877, compared to 286 permits for $84,984,971 at this time last year.
