‘HELPING HUNTER’ GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER SUNDAY AT BRENHAM COUNTRY CLUB

  

A golf tournament in support of a local high school senior who suffers from autism is set for this weekend at the Brenham Country Club.

Family and friends of Hunter Schaper have organized a tournament on Sunday to raise proceeds for the $22,000 needed to train a new service dog for Hunter.

After Hunter was diagnosed with autism, he was required to have a service dog at his side at all times so he does not wander off.  His previous service dog died unexpectedly in July.

The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.  A silent auction will be held throughout the day, and a live auction will begin at 2 p.m.  Attendees do not have to participate in the golf tournament to take part in the auctions.

Entry for 3-man teams into the tournament is $300.  Lunch is included in the entry fee.  Hole sponsorships are $100.
