‘TOYS FOR TOTS’ TOY DRIVE UNDERWAY

The first responders of Washington County have again teamed up with Toys for Tots of Washington County to help provide a brighter holiday season for local children.

This year, Toys for Tots organizers plan to reach over 800 children, after providing gifts to the families of 618 children with charitable donations in 2020.

Anyone wishing to contribute can do so by donating new, unwrapped toys at any of the Toys for Tots boxes in Washington County.

Residents can also bring their toys to downtown Brenham’s Lighted Christmas Parade on December 4th, and first responders will collect donations and place them on their float as they pass by.

There will also be a “Light Up a Child’s Christmas with First Responders” toy drive on December 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Fireman’s Training Center.  First responder vehicles will be lit up in the parking lot.

All toys donated within Washington County will be solely used for children and families in Washington County.

Business owners or organizations that would like to provide a location for Toys for Tots boxes can contact Brenham Police Sergeant Todd Ashorn at 979-337-7382.
