NEW HOME DEVELOPMENT LEADS NOVEMBER BUILDING PERMITS

  

New homes topped the list of building permits issued by the City of Brenham during the month of November.

A total of 25 new homes were permitted last month for $5,903,295.  The largest home permit was issued to DR Horton Homes for $311,870 for a new home in the 1100 block of Fannin Street in the Liberty Village subdivision.  Through the year so far, 171 homes have been permitted for $31,228,065.

The largest individual permit was for $3.1 million, issued to Blinn College for additions and remodeling of the Leroy Dreyer Field building.  Work is contracted to Dudley Construction.

Another notable permit was issued to K & K Custom Green Homes for $2 million for WBT Spotless LLC.  A new car wash is being built at 1408 North Park Street.

A total of 47 permits were permitted in November for $11,438,280.  Last November saw 33 permits issued for $7,212,913.

So far this year, the city has issued 398 permits for $88,811,157, compared to 286 permits for $84,984,971 through this point last year.
