ARREST MADE IN BLUEBONNET HILLS BURGLARY

  

A Somerville man was arrested Monday after a burglary investigation.

Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak reports that on December 1st, Washington County Deputies responded to the scene of a burglary and theft that occurred at a residence located in the Bluebonnet Hills Subdivision.  The complainant advised that copper wiring and miscellaneous power tools were missing from a residence he was renovating.  Deputies utilized surveillance video to observe an individual and vehicle suspected of the thefts.  Deputies were able to identify the suspect as 39 year old Somerville resident Evan Michael Szarf.  The investigation also indicated that Szarf had sold copper after the reported theft.  Arrest warrants were obtained and on Monday, Szarf was located in Chappell Hill and arrested by Deputy Albert with charges of Burglary of Habitation and Theft of Copper. His bond related to the Burglary charge was set at $100,000 and bond for the Theft charge was set at $10,000.

Szarf remains in the Washington County jail.
