NAVASOTA NAMES NEW CITY MANAGER

(City of La Porte)
The City of Navasota has appointed a new city manager.
Jason Weeks was named to the position at the council’s meeting Monday, and will begin working in Navasota on January 3, 2022. He fills the role previously held by Brad Stafford, who retired from the city in October.
Weeks currently serves as the assistant city manager for the City of La Porte, and has over 20 years of combined local government experience. A majority of his career has been spent as the director or assistant director of finance for the cities of McKinney, Fairview, Oak Point and Greenville.
Mayor Bert Miller said he and the city council are “very pleased” with the choice of Weeks to “lead our city into the future.” He said Weeks’ prior experience “brings all the needed traits that will benefit the organization.”
