WASHINGTON COUNTY GRAND JURY RETURNS 25 INDICTMENTS

The Washington County Grand Jury met Tuesday and returned 25 indictments.  Those indicted include:

Kenneth Brooks Helmer, 34 of Brenham, for Possession of Controlled Substance, and Evading Arrest with a Previous Conviction.  Helmer was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in November for outstanding warrants, when he reportedly tried to evade arrest by jumping out of a window.

Hans William Obenhoff, 27 of Arlington, Virginia, was indicted for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon.  Obenhoff was arrested by Brenham Police after a SWAT standoff when he reportedly pointed a gun at pizza delivery people.

Quintin Lee Carr, 36 of Brenham, was indicted for Burglary of a Habitation.

Rachel Weerts Cochran, 34 of Ledbetter, was indicted for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger.

Alejandro Ramirez Denes, 25 of Houston, was indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Joaquin Santos Echeverria, 26 of Chappell Hill, was indicted for Assault Family Member by Impeding Breath.

Anavictoria Desiree Kimpel, 18 of Brenham, was indicted for Burglary of a Building.

Ciaunna Marie Lara, 19 of Austin, was indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Camri Levi, 23 of Branson, Missouri, was indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Eric Daniel Martinez, 23 of Brenham, was indicted for Burglary of a Building.

Brandon Owens, 18 of Pflugerville, was indicted for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle.

Travis Andrew Roach, 29 of Brenham, was indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Dorothy Lashell Ragas, 47 of Houston, was indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Lafayette Aretth Smith, 31 of Houston, was indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Sergio Ignacio Sanchez Vanegas, 45 of Houston, was indicted for Theft of a Firearm.

Brandon Joseph Stagnitta, 28 of Houston, was indicted for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The following people were indicted by a previous Grand Jury and have subsequently been arrested:

Christi Lee Johnson, 41 of East Bernard, was indicted for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Nickalous Dewayne Knight, 33 of Chappell Hill, was indicted for Assault of a Family Member with a Previous Conviction.

Matthew Dickerson Cook, 41 of Bryan, was indicted for Theft of Copper.
