TWO BLINN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RECEIVE ALL AMERICAN HONORS
Joshua Berry and Bryton Thompson recognized for great seasons.

Blinn College football players Joshua Berry and Bryton Thompson were recently named 2021 NJCAA Division I All-Americans.
Both players were recognized with honorable mention.
Berry, a sophomore running back from Haines City, Fla., led the team with 732 rushing yards on 104 carries (7.0 yards per carry) with six touchdowns in six games. His best game came Oct. 9 in a conference victory over Navarro, in which he posted 283 yards and three touchdowns. For the season, Berry averaged 104.6 yards per carry. He is committed to Texas State University.
Thompson, a defensive lineman from Harker Heights, Texas, registered 48 total tackles (27 tackles for a loss) and tied for the team lead with 6 1/2 sacks. Thompson also forced one fumble and recovered one as well. He recorded a season-high 11 tackles against New Mexico Military Institute on Oct. 2 and collected a season-high three sacks against Trinity Valley on Oct. 16. Thompson is committed to the University of Texas at El Paso.
“I couldn’t be happier for those kids,” Blinn head coach Ryan Mahon said. “Bryton is what you consider a program guy; he was a Blinn Buccaneer through and through. Josh just bought in from the beginning and worked hard for us every step of the way. They were both leaders for us and really did a great job for this program.”
